Oleta Nell Walters 1926-1990


LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Oleta Nell Walters, 63, of Livingston were held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 1990 from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating, assisted by the Rev. Franklin Jones. interment followed in Peebles Cemetery.

Mrs Walters died Sept. 16 in Parkway Hospital

She was born Sept 18, 1926 in Polk County, the daughter of Henry Grady McCaghren and Alverta Matthews McCaghren. On July 14, 1946 she married Reuel B. Walters in Houston. Mars Walters was a homemaker and member of First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors included her husband, Reuel B. Walters of Livingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Nell and Lamar Reed of Port Neches and Nelva James and John Cain of Livingston; sons and daughter-in-law, Bentley Ray and Susan Walters of Humble; grandsons, Peyton Reed and David Reed of Port Neches, James Walters and Brian Walters of Humble, and Grady Allen Cain of Livingston; granddaughter, Rebecca Reed or Port Neches; father and stepmother, Henry Grady and Ann McCaughren of Livingston; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Doug Hand, Don Senchal, Hubert Withers, J.D. Johnson, Roy Boothe and Marvin Williams.

Cochran Funeral Homes was in charge of the arrangements.
